The POP-OUT Trial is a study designed to test whether a procedure called manual rotation (turning the baby) can improve the chances of a normal vaginal birth when the baby is in the posterior position or in the transverse position in labour.

The POP-OUT Trial is led by the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and is being undertaken in several other major hospitals in Australia.

The POP-OUT Trial is funded by the NHMRC.
